Susceptible to fluctuations
LED lighting uses significantly less power than incandescent, halogen or fluorescent bulbs, making the choice to invest in LED somewhat of a no-brainer. In the transition to LED lighting, however, many forget about the LED driver. LED lighting is very susceptible to power fluctuations, which is why LED spotlights and panels cannot be connected directly to a power supply unit and require an LED driver. The main function of the LED driver is to convert high AC voltage to the right, low, constant DC voltage. That’s why LED drivers are also commonly known as LED transformers.
Flicker-free, dimmable and long-living
Most LED fixtures come with an integrated LED driver, and many LED downlights and LED panels also have an internal or external driver to level out voltage surges. Many of these drivers are standard issue devices that do not support dimming. If you want to dim individual fixtures, zones or all fixtures at once, you can replace the LED driver with a dimmable driver. Our lighting specialists would love to help you find the right driver for your project, looking at the home automation profile in your home, office, hotel, restaurant or events venue, as well as the desired wattage and voltage range. Depending on the situation, the LED driver can be fitted inside or outside the LED downlight or LED panel, so you can enjoy flicker-free and easily dimmable LED lighting with a long service life.
Playful colors and patterns
We also carry an extensive range of LED controllers for optimal control over LED strips and spotlights. An LED controller is a special box that is used to connect and control LED strips or LED spotlights.An LED controller goes between LED strips or LED spotlights and the power adapter and can be connected, for example, to a remote control, wall controller, lighting panel and/or WiFi network used for signal control. Integrating an LED controller unlocks countless color schemes and other options, as it can also be used to dim white LED strips and LED spotlights. We have a wide range of compatible LED controllers for the most commonly used LED strips and LED spotlights (RGB, RGBW, RGBWW, CCT, Dual White) and protocols.
