For over 70 years, Strijbosch (Nistelrode) has been a trusted name in importing professional, household, and audiovisual devices. With the company’s rapid growth, it became clear that an expansion of its facilities—warehouse, office spaces, and showroom—was inevitable.

“Our primary goal for the new showroom was to elevate our brand, SB,” says owner Antoon Strijbosch. “Lighting plays a crucial role in achieving this. We wanted to create a showroom that radiates reliability and craftsmanship, which we’ve accomplished by using elegant, flexible spotlights. For our offices, we focused on practical and functional lighting, while the warehouse was equipped with durable, robust light solutions, including emergency luminaires for safety. Tronix was the ideal partner, they have it all.”

Sustainability was the primary focus throughout the planning process. “Led lighting is inherently energy-efficient, but we took it one step further by integrating it with the energy generated from our solar panels,” explains Strijbosch. “Smart controls optimize efficiency even more. When our energy usage exceeds production, the lighting dims automatically unless manually adjusted. To maximize efficiency, we integrated motion sensors and DALI controls with Niko Home Control, ensuring lights are only on when needed. The result? A system that operates flawlessly!"

VeBa Elektro took charge of the project’s preparation and execution. Co-owner Rob de Bakker shares his thoughts: “The result is stunning. Combining functionality with visual appeal, every element is crafted with precise attention to detail—like the dimmable led strips illuminating the staircase and the track lighting system allowing flexible fixture placement. I also admire the sustainable design. The integration between Niko Home Control and the DALI modules ensures lighting is never wasted.”

Even with initial doubts about one particular feature, Antoon was impressed: “The staircase lighting was a challenge. The ceiling’s unique shape seemed too complex to incorporate lighting, or so I thought. Tronix resolved it brilliantly with a custom led strip.”

Rob shares his enthusiasm, emphasizing the partnership with Tronix: “Their products are high-quality, reliable, and most importantly, always in stock. We’re extremely pleased. In fact, we’ve already teamed up with Tronix on several more projects.”
