Gert-Jan Janssen, operations manager of the lighting division of Konings Group, explains: "The Municipality of Helmond had two wishes: we were to replace the 'old' 220-volt lighting with a safe, 24-volt equivalent that was less vulnerable to faults, and the new lighting had to be dimmable to prevent any inconvenience for locals and passing traffic.” With the Constant Current Technology, small light defects stay out of sight, making maintenance a whole lot easier.

Konings Group opted for Tronix for three reasons: price, range and clear-cut agreements. “The arches lean back into the water, as it were. It’s a work of art, really, so it was important for the leds to fit perfectly into the existing arches. Tronix recommended a silicone version of its IP68 Neon Flex line lighting for maximum moisture resistance, minimal maintenance and a long service life. It was exactly the solution we had been looking for.”
