In mid-2021, coffee specialist vantienen moved to a brand-new headquarters in Zeeland. The building has become a calling card for the company, both among visitors and the vantienen employees. Van den Heuvel Elektrotechniek B.V. signed on to provide the lighting, in collaboration with Tronix. Director Willy van den Heuvel tells all about it.

Function and atmosphere go hand-in-hand at vantienen

“We work together with several suppliers, one of which is Tronix. Why did we choose them? Because they were the only ones who could deliver what we needed at the time, like a series of black LED panels. We try to collaborate with a single partner on our projects, so we took on the job together. Rails for spotlights, garden lighting, office lighting: you name it.”

“vantienen wanted subtle, atmospheric lighting that was also functional. We achieved that by using reflector panels with a low UGR in the open-plan office. You can put desks around it without the lighting obstructing the employees while they work. The functional/atmosphere proportions are perfectly in balance everywhere. And vantienen can always change the showroom layout: the track rails and spotlights provide perfect lighting in no time.”

“Tronix was the only one that could supply what we needed”

According to Willy, the vantienen employees are completely satisfied with the result. But not everything went according to plan. “Like all of our other partners, Tronix had some supply problems. That’s annoying, but there’s nothing anyone can do about it. The good thing was that they always kept us informed. They communicated openly and honestly, so we knew exactly what to expect. That was good for us, and it was good for vantienen. I really appreciated that degree of certainty.”
